This page covers what stoneampseo.com collects, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Stone Amp SEO is an SEO and web design shop in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, run by Jeremy Springer and Jody Autrey. When this page says “we,” that’s us.
Questions? Email info@stoneampseo.com or call 1-888-983-3991.
The short version
- Fill out a form or join the newsletter and we get what you typed. We use it to reply, send what you asked for, and follow up about our work.
- The site runs Google Analytics so we can see how it’s used.
- We don’t sell or share personal information, including for targeted advertising.
- Email us and we’ll show you what we have, fix it, or delete it.
What you give us
Free website analysis form. Your website, name and email. It’s saved as an entry on our WordPress site and emailed to Jeremy. We use it to review your site, send you the analysis, and follow up.
Consultation form (homepage and service pages). Name, email, phone, website, the services you check, and anything you tell us about the project. It’s saved as an entry on our WordPress site and emailed to our team inbox. That’s how we get back to you. This form doesn’t store your IP address or browser details with the entry.
Contact page form. Name, email, subject and message. It goes to our info@stoneampseo.com inbox and isn’t saved on the site. Google reCAPTCHA screens it for spam.
Newsletter. Just your email. The footer signup adds you to our Mailchimp newsletter list, but only after you click the link in the confirmation email Mailchimp sends. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
Email and calls. If you email us, we keep the thread. If you call, we might jot notes. Same reason: so we can do the work and remember what was said.
What the site collects on its own
Logs. Our hosting and security providers (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, and our WordPress security plugin) keep standard logs: IP address, browser, the pages requested, and the time. They use them for security and troubleshooting, and keep them on their own schedules.
Analytics. Google Analytics shows us which pages get visited, how people found us, and what they click, scroll or download. It does not collect email addresses, phone numbers or mailing addresses.
Spam and bot checks. Google reCAPTCHA loads on every page and checks the contact page form. Cloudflare sets a cookie to tell people from bots. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to reCAPTCHA.
Embedded stuff. The search box runs on Google, so your searches go to Google. Our homepage has an embedded YouTube video. When it loads, Google may collect data under its own Privacy Policy. A Google map on the contact page, Google Fonts, and the review and directory badges also load from those companies’ servers. They see your IP address, and Google can set its own cookies.
How we use it
- Answer you, send what you asked for, and do the work you hire us for
- Send the newsletter, if you confirmed your signup
- See how the site gets used and fix what doesn’t work
- Keep the site secure and keep spam out
- Comply with the law
Who else touches it
We don’t sell or share personal information, including for targeted advertising. We don’t give form submissions to other businesses for their own marketing either. They do pass through the service providers that run the site and our email:
- Google (Workspace and Gmail): our email, including the emails the site sends
- GoDaddy: hosting
- Cloudflare: security and delivery
- Mailchimp: the newsletter
Then there are the tools covered above, each with its own policy:
- Google: Analytics, reCAPTCHA, search, Fonts, YouTube, Maps. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Mailchimp (Intuit) and Cloudflare
We’d also hand information over if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.
Your choices
- Email info@stoneampseo.com to see what we have about you, correct it, or delete it.
- Newsletter: hit unsubscribe in any issue, or just tell us.
- Cookies: block or clear them in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well.
- Google Analytics: Google offers an opt-out browser add-on.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Our site has no way to detect either one right now, so Google Analytics still runs when your browser sends them. Since we don’t sell or share personal information, there’s no sale or sharing for those signals to switch off. To limit analytics, block cookies in your browser, use Google’s add-on above, or email us.
If you live in California or another state with a privacy law
Over the past 12 months, the site has collected:
- Identifiers: name, email, phone, IP address, cookie and device IDs
- Internet activity: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, on-site searches, how you got here
- Approximate location: worked out from your IP address
- Business details: your website and what you told us about your project
It comes from you, from your browser and device, and from the tools listed above. We use it for the reasons in “How we use it.” It goes to the companies in “Who else touches it.” We don’t sell or share personal information, including for targeted advertising. We don’t ask for sensitive information like Social Security numbers, financial account numbers or health details.
You can ask what we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. We won’t treat you any differently for asking. Email info@stoneampseo.com or call 1-888-983-3991. We’ll confirm the request comes from the email address in our records, and we’ll respond within 45 days. Someone you authorize can make a request for you.
Kids
This site is for businesses. It isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
How long we keep it, and security
We keep form submissions as long as we need them to follow up and keep business records, and we delete them sooner if you ask. Newsletter addresses stay in Mailchimp until you unsubscribe.
The site runs on HTTPS behind Cloudflare, with WordPress security plugins. No setup is bulletproof, though, so please don’t send passwords or payment details through our forms.
Changes
When what we collect changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
